How to Program DIRECTV Remote Control
To program your DIRECTV remotes manually, use the following steps:

Press and Hold MUTE and SELECT Buttons
Wait until the green light flashes twice.

Enter the 5 Digit Code
Enter the first 5 digit code for your device brand. After entering the first digit, wait 1 to 2 seconds for the green light to flash, then enter the remaining four digits. The green light will flash twice if the remote accepts the code.

Test the Remote
Point the remote at your device and press VOL+/- or MUTE. Try the next code for your device brand if the device does not respond, and continue until you find a code that works.

Set the Device Mode
Slide the mode switch to DIRECTV, AV1, AV2, or TV position.

Press and Hold MUTE and SELECT Buttons
Wait until the green light under the selected mode flashes twice. Release both keys after the light flashes.

Enter the 5-Digit Code
Use the number keys to enter the code. The green light under the selected mode will flash twice if the remote accepts the code.

Test the Remote
Aim the remote at your device and press the PWR key once. The device should turn off if the code is correct. Try the next code for your brand if the device does not turn off, and continue until you find a working code.
