How to Program a Sony Universal Remote (Direct Code Entry)
To program a Sony universal remote, find the device codes using the code lookup tool and follow the programming steps below.

Press and Hold the SET Button and Select a Device
Hold SET for more than 3 seconds until the LED indicator lights up, then press the desired Device Select button, such as TV or DVD, while keeping SET held down. Release both buttons when the selected Device Select button lights up.

The LED indicator flashes three times, and the indicators turn off when the code is accepted.
