How Do You Program an AT&T Universal Remote? (Direct Code Entry)
To program your AT&T universal remote control, find the codes and follow the steps below.
-
Enter Programming Mode on Your Remote
Press and hold the OK and MENU buttons for 3 seconds. When all four mode buttons flash red twice and you hear two short beeps, the remote is ready for programming.
-
Enter the Device Code
Enter the first 5-digit code from the list using the numeric keypad. The mode key will blink with each digit, then flash twice with two short beeps to confirm successful programming.
-
Test the Remote
Check the remote’s functions, including volume control. If it doesn’t work as expected, repeat the setup with the next code for your brand or restart from Step 1.
-
Press the AT&T Mode Key
Pressing the key returns the remote to normal operation.
-
Repeat the Process for Other Devices
Repeat the steps for each device, such as TV, DVD player, home theater receiver, or soundbar. Use the AUX mode key for audio devices.

-
Press the Mode Key
Press and hold the TV, DVD, or AUX mode key you want to assign to your device.
