GE Universal Remote Codes

Find universal remote codes to program GE, UltraPro, and GE UltraPro (co-branded) remotes manufactured by Jasco. Our code lookup tool provides 4-digit device setup codes for all these remotes that use the same Jasco remote code libraries, such as the modern CL3, CL4, CL5, or CL6 code list versions and legacy V2–V5 versions. The tool also includes both 3-digit and 4-digit codes for older GE remotes that use legacy V1 or older code versions.

How to Program a GE Universal Remote With Codes? (Direct Code Entry)

To program your GE universal remote manually using codes, follow the steps below.

  1. Locate Your Remote Model and Code List Version

Check the battery compartment of your remote control to find the code list version. You can also select a code list from the first dropdown to see if it includes your remote model. Then select the matching code list version.

  2. Look Up Remote Codes for Your Code List Version

Select the device category and brand from the respective dropdowns to look up the remote codes for your device.

  3. Press and Hold the 'SETUP' Button on Your Remote

Wait for the remote's red LED to turn on.

  4. Press and Release the Device Button You Want to Program

You can choose any device button, such as TV, CBL, DVD, or AUD.

  5. Enter the First 4-Digit Code for Your Device

Use the numeric keypad to enter the code. The LED will turn off if the code is valid and blink several times if the code is invalid.

  6. Test the Buttons on Your Remote

Aim the remote at your device and test common functions, such as Channel Up/Down, Volume +/−, Power, and Input. No further programming is required if the device responds as expected; repeat steps 3–6 using the next code listed for your device if the device does not respond as expected.

  7. Repeat the Process for Each Device You Want to Control

Program each device separately by selecting its corresponding device button and entering the remote code for that device.
